Tukituki Swing Bridge, Waipukurau

DABA Engineering completed a preliminary geotechnical investigation for a proposed swing bridgeacross the Tukituki River near Waipukurau, Central Hawke’s Bay.

The investigation included a desktop study, site walkover, Cone Penetration Testing (CPT), Dynamic Probe Super Heavy (DPSH) testing, and Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) testing at the proposed bridge abutment and tower locations.

We assessed the subsurface conditions and potential liquefaction hazards and provided preliminary geotechnical recommendations to support the design of the bridge foundations.
